Sunday Morning Chat: #Interview with @CEBlackbooks

John Satisfy:  As you know each week I find one talented author and ask them to sit down with me to talk about their story.  I find it amazing how many different sub-genres and niches there are in this one area of writing.  Today I’m welcoming to my blog C.E. Black who delves into the paranormal erotica and shows you why you shouldn't be afraid of no ghosts.  Can you please tell my readers a little about who you are and what you write?

C.E. Black:  I live in the south, born and raised, and was quite the goody two-shoes growing up. At least, that’s what everyone thought. I tried my hardest to join with the rebellious crowd, but no matter that I was the same age, I was patted on the head and told I was too innocent for those things. It was the reverse of peer pressure. I guess in hindsight, I can say it kept me out of trouble, though I thought life pretty boring in my teen years. As an adult, I know that I didn't miss out on much and am thankful for those that steered me in the right direction.

My husband and I have been married for over twelve years and it was he who encourages me to write all my crazy ideas down. I’m actually quite the newbie. I admit to playing around with short stories in grade school, but that didn’t last long once I noticed boys. No, writing wasn't a part of my life until I began reading again, which had also fallen to the wayside. A friend loaned me a Dan Brown book and I thought it was pretty good, but it wasn't until I picked up Charlaine Harris’ Sookie Stackhouse Series, that I began to fall in love with reading again. Then came Laurell K. Hamilton and Maya Banks, and next thing I knew, I was opening my little notebook and writing my first imagined a story, Enduring Kiss, which was published in 2011. I haven’t stopped dreaming stories since.

My imagination tends to veer into the paranormal and fantasy, but I cannot go without romance, and I admit, I need steamy scenes as well. I enjoy how the paranormal genre can go anywhere I want it too, but I have to have reality as well. A few have mentioned my work being a little dark at times, and maybe so, but that’s just reality in my opinion. Also, my work has started to get more erotic as I go and I think that has to do with the fact that I just can’t let the scene pass me by. I have to tell it like is, or was, and I want to know every detail.

JS:  That's a great trait in a writer, keeping a scene as true to life as you see it.  When you talk about paranormal elements in your stories, are we talking creatures?  Magic?

Liebster Blog Award!

A couple weeks ago, LB Shaw was kind enough to nominate me for the Liebster Blog Award!  I’m amazed and very appreciative.  Thank you so much LB!  This is such an honor and I am really excited about getting to show off my blog.  I’m really proud of all the changes I’ve been making this year and I hope that everyone has been enjoying my improvements.  As of right now I’m putting out new content on Wednesdays with my Hump Day Radio, Saturdays with a continuing Saturday Spanks Blog Hop story and on Sundays with my Sunday Morning Chat series.  I’ve had the opportunity to talk with different authors and it’s really been a fantastic way to get to know more about those amazing individuals.
One of my first interviews was with LB Shaw, and she’s really got a great blog of her own that you should check out.  She’s really a great author and I’d recommend checking out her blog and twitter feed to see all the wonderful stuff she’s got for her fans.  And don’t forget to check out her books on Amazon.

Hump Day Radio: Beautiful Small Machines - "Superconductor"

Yet another Hump Day, so yet another sexy video.  Do you know Beautiful Small Machines?  Their music has been used in TV shows and ads.  Today I picked "Superconductor", which at one point was used for a Victoria's Secret ad, so you know that it has some sexiness to it.

Sunday Morning Chat: #Interview with @jennafoxrox

John Satisfy:  Today I’d like to welcome Jenna Fox to my blog.  This little vixen caught my attention almost a year ago on twitter.  When I checked out some of her stories I knew she was a little firecracker I had to share with the world.  Please, tell me a little bit about who you are and what you write.

Jenna Fox:   First of all, thank you John for hosting this interview.

I was born in a small Eastern Tennessee town and raised in a strict religious home.  My mother was a Sunday school teacher and we never missed a church service.  Sex was never discussed in our household because it was considered dirty, and my parents never gave me the birds and the bees talk.  Needless to say, I learned about sex from the public education system and the girl’s bathroom.

On Saturday afternoons, my mother would happily drop me off at the public library.  And why wouldn't she be happy?  Her daughter was a book worm instead of traipsing around the mall chasing boys.  Little did she know I was squirming through the card catalog for erotic reading material.  Momma thought those novels I was bringing home were teenaged romances.

As I read, the writing styles and the emotions they evoked were intriguing, powerful.  It turned on a light and opened up a whole new world.  Sex wasn't taboo and dirty.  It was natural and beautiful.  By the time age sixteen blossomed into twenty-two, I only got hungry for more.  I picked up a pen and let it all hang out.

JS:  Sounds like you've got some personal motivation for writing these stories, almost as if you’re trying to pay back the universe for all the wonderful things erotica gave you earlier in your life.

#SatSpanks Part 6 - Punishment

Six weeks ago I started building up your Anticipation, and that's really the best place to start.  However, it has been six weeks, and you've been such a good girl, coming back time and time again, wanting to know more about your fate.  You've wanted to feel the sting of my hand, bent over my knee, back arched because of how I'm pulling your hair, your hand grabbing my thigh.  Welcome to Saturday Spanks...

Sunday Morning Chat: #Interview with @LA_Cloutier

John Satisfy:  Today we've got an amazingly talented author to welcome to my blog.  I’m excited to sit down with LA Cloutier and help shine the spotlight on her and her BDSM tomes.  Hi there!  Can you please tell me a little about yourself and your writing.

LA Cloutier:   I'm a fun, happy person who loves life and takes everything one day at a time. There is always something good in each day and I try to find and focus on such. As a wife and mother I am proud to have raised one boy and two girls, who are mostly kicked... I mean, moved out of the house and all doing well. Now, most of my days are spent with my laptop, two snoring dogs and one annoying cat. And probably to much coffee.

I became a published author in 2013, thanks to Blushing Books, who gave me an opportunity to achieve a lifelong dream. That first acceptance letter, however, was only the initial step as we all know. I found out quickly that I have a whole lot to learn about being an author. Thanks to some other very kind and helpful fellow authors I feel like I'm just starting to settle into what hopefully will become a full time career.

JS:  Since you have a publisher, you’re not technically a completely indie author.  However it sounds like you still have to do a lot of the leg work like us indies.  Am I correct in assuming that your publishing house, Blushing Books, helps to promote your books.

Sunday Morning Chat: #Interview with @KaylaLords

John Satisfy:  Before I start today's interview, I wanted to let everyone know of a few new changes to my blog.  I've added a new weekly feature, "Hump Day Radio".  Every Wednesday I will have a really short post with a link to a sexy/erotic/intellectually stimulating song.  Make sure you check out the first post and let me know what you think.  Also, if you're looking for older interviews, there's a new tab called "Sunday Morning Chats".  You'll find links to all of them arranged chronologically as of right now, along with a revel of who I'll be interviewing next week.  Make sure to check both of these new features out and let me know what you think..

Today I'd like to welcome Kayla Lords to Erotic Satisficition.  I was very excited when Kayla agreed to sitting down with me.  Not only is she an author of some incredibly hot stories, but she also is an avid blogger.  Kayla, can you please tell me a little bit about who you are and what you write.

Kayla Lords:  Hi, John.  I'm a single mom with two boys, 8 and 4. I work in marketing by day and I write erotica by night. My writing started as a blog to chronicle my adventures in masturbation and to finally have an outlet for the sexual fantasies that played in my head nearly every day. I started a Wordpress blog and began to seek out like-minded bloggers. In the process, I discovered BDSM and Dominance and submission (D/s), specifically. In June of 2012, I finally admitted to myself that I was submissive. That changed the direction of much of my writing. Oh, I still write about my sexual fantasies and adventures in masturbation, but as I've progressed in my knowledge and experience with D/s, that has become a central theme to all of my writing, especially the erotic fiction I write. In June 2013, I published my first short story - a shared BDSM fantasy I'd had with my former Dominant and lover. Writing and publishing had always been a dream of mine, and I feel comfortable writing erotica - it feels natural to me.

I'm in a relationship now and that affects a lot of my writing as well. I also have the desire to show my readers, especially those for whom D/s and BDSM is foreign or scary, that the lifestyle isn't scary at all. There are definite kinks, of course, and those vary from person to person, but at the end of the day, I'm in a solid, loving relationship. I just happen to call my boyfriend "Daddy" and beg to be spanked as often as possible.

If there's a bottom line to the who am I and what do I write question, I guess it's that I'm a submissive woman and I write about BDSM and sex.

JS:  Sounds like not only do you know who you are, but you're very comfortable with it.  That's fantastic.  Your writing is definitely very personal and your blog has a lot about you, much more then just a few stories.  Was it hard for you to be so open on your blog?

#SatSpanks Part 4 - Preparedness

A few weeks ago I started a series on Saturday Spankings Blog Hop with Anticipation.  It is really the best place to start so if you're new here, I recommend clicking the link and going back to the beginning.  If you are ready to proceed, well it's time to get you prepared...

Hump Day Radio: Taio Cruise - "Dirty Pictures"

Well it's a new week, and a new day.  As you know I've been changing things on my blog and adding new weekly columns.  This week I'm launching, Hump Day Radio, one song every week with a link to either a YouTube video or some other way to listen to the song.  My tastes are eclectic, but I'll try to keep everything a bit sexy, something you might want to either move your body to, or you might want to loose yourself in the story of.  I will be trying to find interesting music videos, but baring that, I'll try to get the best quality video I can find.  Sound fun?

Sunday Morning Chat: #Interview with @kimberb1

John Satisfy:  Today I’d like to welcome Kimberly Biller to Erotic Satisficition.  She’s a jack of all trades, who writes not only erotica, but memoirs seeped in southern culture. Can you please tell us a little about yourself and what kinds of works you write?

Kimberly Biller:  I will be 44 in June and embarking on a new trail in life, personally speaking. I began writing as a young teen to escape my life and the abuse I suffered daily. I've written erotica, my memoir, and of course my southern humor novellas that are very popular. Sissy is the main character and patterned after myself. She is 11 and gutsy and she is on a mission. I'm currently working, slowly, on a second memoir.

JS:  Your first memoir, I Couldn't Lay in the Bed They Made, tells your story until you were how old?

#SatSpanks Part 3 - In Position

I'm so glad to be apart of this blog hop for the past few weeks.  It's been such a wonderful time and I'm really enjoying getting to see the reaction to each part of this series.  We started two weeks ago with Anticipation, and that's really the best place to start.  But after the slow burn last week, it's time to move on and get you in position...
